I like anime. I really do. Anime like Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, and Wolfs Rain are all fun to watch if you can get into the storyline (and get past the ever-present culture barrier). That said, it’s people like the author of this article that give anime a bad name in popular western culture:
How anime is changing videogames (Note: The first picture is not porn, though it may look like it. It’s actually just a dude with his shirt off. Consider yourself warned.)
I still can’t figure out what the deal is with this article. First off, what the heck is this article doing on Toms Hardware Guide? It barely even mentions video games (mostly just ranting about the lack of A-O rated games on Sony and Microsoft consoles). The grammar is atrocious. The writing style is awful. There is no central thesis. And what purpose does ranting against Christian conservatives serve? This is the sort of thing I’d expect to find on a geocities or angelfire site maybe. Or maybe a blog by the comic book owner in the Simpsons.
I certainly hope, for THG’s sake, that this guy doesnt write any more articles.

(Edit: Just noticed that it was a woman (purportedly) that wrote the article. I don’t think that changes my opinion of the article)
