Microsoft wants to get out of the whole image of the big, black Darth Vader evil guy … Innovation is probably going on within the company, because any time you put smart engineers in places eventually they wind up talking and innovating no matter how much you try to hold them back. I hope Microsoft improves and becomes more like Apple.
Well he’s right. Microsoft is trying to get away from the image of “Darth Vader” that it has in the tech community. But since when is Microsoft trying to hold back its engineers? This is purely arrogance (or ignorance?) on Wozniak’s part. Who is this invisible entity within Microsoft holding back the engineers? Microsoft is run by engineers; from the dev engineers to management to Bill Gates himself, Microsoft is a company of very intelligent engineers. I hate being a flag waving fanboy, but this sort of stuff is just childish.
