Economics, from the time of Adam Smith, has generally believed in the ideal of the free market–with open competition and a large number of competitors, the group will, without central guidance, move towards the best outcome. Politics is one realm of society that doesn’t fit into this model. Usually, one country == one government, a monopoly on power that’s justified by having some way of giving everyone a vote.
Does this idea of monopoly in economics have anything to do with the separation of powers?:
The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.

So wordpress sucks with IE apparently. Everytime I put a “more” tag in, it decides to put it within div tags. Which means… the div tags get unbalanced every time I post in IE. What makes it worse is that Liu feels compelled to “fix” my posts by defacing them (in addition to fixing the div tags). It’s not even possible to fix the posts in IE, because wordpress immediately breaks them after you fix them. So, I am now writing my posts in straight HTML in opera, until such time as the wordpress stooges stop their major mal.
